We are seeking to appoint a qualified Occupational Therapist, to work as part of our multi-disciplinary Therapy Team across the Rivermead Inclusive Trust and Rivermead Solutions. Newly qualified will be considered.

This is an exciting opportunity that offers the chance to work with children and young adults across different settings from 2-18years. Creating opportunities to build upon clinical, management and professions skills and goals.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of our Trust Inclusion Improvement Lead, Occupational Therapists, Speech and language Therapists, Art Therapist, Councillors and Therapy Assistants.

Our special schools and mainstream schools have a high proportion of learners who require occupational therapy assessments and interventions, and we would like to appoint an additional Occupational Therapist who will be able to meet this demand.

The Post holder will:

  • Work directly with young people, assessing needs and providing intervention
  • Provide specialist training to other staff to develop whole school approaches to meet the physical needs in the classroom and throughout the school day
  • Provide advice and guidance to parents, where appropriate training them to support their children at home
  • Oversee the work of support staff working with the post-holder
  • Work with the Rivermead Solutions team to provide traded services to schools outside of the trust.

Please note that the post-holder must be able to travel between trust schools so access to a car and being a confident driver will be essential.
