Team Tunbury is looking for a dynamic and innovative individual to become our new Assistant Headteacher.  Are you looking for the next step in your leadership development, to build on your currrent experience as a middle or senior leader?  

Tunbury Primary School is a large, thriving primary school on the border of Kent and Medway.  We are a Kent local authority school.  We completed a successful Ofsted inspection in June 2023.  We support career development; this vacancy has arisen due to the promotion to Headship for a current member of our Senior Leadership Team.   

Our new Assistant Headteacher will be our Lead DSL as well as an integral part of our Senior Leadership Team (Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and 2 Assistant Headteachers), contributing to the strategic direction of the school and the implementation of our priorities.  The new Assistant Headteacher's responsibilities will include attendance, EVC, extra-curricular activities and induction tutor for ECTs. This is a non-class based position, without a regular teaching commitment.  Please read the attached Job Description for the full details of the post.
