Luton Primary School, part of The Rivermead Inclusive Trust, are looking for someone who is resilient, a good team player, with a passion for promoting positive behaviour and supporting others. It is vital that they know that all children can succeed and support them to reach their full potential.

We want a positive and dedicated Behaviour and Learning Mentor to join our pastoral support team and be part of the continued growth and development of our wonderful school and our Multi Academy Trust, Rivermead Inclusive Trust. You will need to be highly committed, flexible, adaptable, able to learn and reflect, and dedicated to the children at the school to ensure that they are safe, thrive and achieve their full potential.

You will:

  • Be able to model and develop understanding of our whole school behaviour policies as well as appropriate behaviour management strategies
  • Lead data driven, evidence-based behaviour and learning interventions in collaboration with class teams.
  • Work with the pastoral team, under the direction of the HLTAs and Inclusion Manager, to create an effective space to run Nurture interventions / support dysregulated children in.
  • Work with children and families to understand behaviour, dysregulation and regulating strategies.
  • Work with the HLTAs and Inclusion Manager to analyse and evaluate effectiveness and impact of interventions making modifications where necessary.
  • To work as part of a multi-agency team and provision where necessary for individual learners; liaise and correspond with learners, parents, colleagues and a range of other external agencies.
  • Attend team team meetings to discuss vulnerable children within our school.
  • Comply with internal regulations, external legislation and legal requirements regarding behavioural intervention.

Luton Primary School Part of Rivermead Inclusive Trust is a three form Primary and Nursery for children aged 3 to 11 years.
