As a Co-opted Governor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our school and ensuring that all our pupils receive the highest quality of education. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the success of our school and work alongside a dedicated team.

Purpose of the Role:

  • To contribute to the work of the governing board in ensuring high standards of achievement for all children in the school.
  • To help shape the vision and strategic direction of the school.
  • To support and challenge the school leadership to ensure the school delivers a high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend governing board meetings and participate actively in discussions.
  • Support the school in its mission and ethos.
  • Monitor and evaluate the school’s progress towards its objectives.
  • Ensure accountability and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Engage in training and development activities relevant to the role.

Qualifications and Training:

  • Willingness to undertake training and development.

Experience:

  • Experience of working in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in a governance or leadership role is desirable but not essential.
