Full time position for candidates available to work across both sites (Ashford and Folkestone).

Goldwyn School is seeking to appoint an innovative, highly motivated and flexible Teacher who is passionate about pupil engagement and progression to teach Humanities in Key Stage 3 and 4.     A specialism in History, or experience of teaching History to a range of age groups and abilities, is desirable. The ability to teach a second subject would be advantageous but not essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and motivated teacher with strong subject knowledge and a passion for making a difference to students who are likely to have experienced little previous success within a school environment.  Goldwyn students are of mixed and high ability (NC level 3-4 on entry) and as such are capable of achieving GCSE and other Level 2 qualifications in Year 11.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with students whose primary needs are SEMH and Autism.   and be able to work positively within our team to ensure that the delivery of humanities across the school is purposeful and appropriate to the needs of our students.

We are an outstanding school (Ofsted 2022) and continually strives to enhance our practice; as such, we are ever keen to employ candidates who have a range of professional experiences and can offer, not only quality teaching, but something ‘different’.

We welcome applications from qualified teachers at any stage of their career, from mainstream primary or special education as well as from ECTs.

Visits to our school are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please contact Tina Brobyn, HR Manager: tina.brobyn@goldwyn.kent.sch.uk to arrange an appointment.
