Residential Child Care Officer

Term Time only 

Full time 37 hours / Part Time hours available 

Permanent Contract

Kent Range 3 Salary £23337 (FTE) Actual salary £20,251.13

The hours will be: 

Mondays 2.45pm to 10.30pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays 7.30am to 9.30am & 3.15pm to 10.30pm, Fridays 7.30am to 11.00am. Shorter hours are available.

We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic individual who will assist in the provision of a safe and homely environment both individually and as part of a team to help young people achieve their potential by strengthening areas of weakness and developing areas of strength.  Good interpersonal skills, patience and initiative is essential to work in this challenging but highly rewarding role.   Level 3 Diploma in residential child care or equivalent or a commitment to start this qualification within six months is required.   

Under direction and guidance, you will tend to the physical, medical, social and recreational needs of residential pupils. Previous experience within a school or care setting is desirable, together with a qualification at NVQ / Diploma Level 3.  Training will though be arranged on appointment.

We specialise in providing day and residential education for pupils aged 4 to 19 years who have a diagnosis of Autism.
