We are looking for a dynamic, proactive individual who shares our vision and commitment to ensuring the very best for every child in our care. We are looking for someone with a sense of humour who is self-motivated, organised, flexible and able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.

The successful candidate needs to be an articulate and influential communicator, have proven financial management skills, possess excellent numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders in the school – children, staff, parents and governors. 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • General school office administration
  • Aspects of HR management: including adherence to robust recruitment procedures and processing of staff contracts, absence and overtime/expense claims
  • Management of the school budget and school finances
  • Procurement management: including processing orders and invoices in line with established financial procedures
  • Compiling and monitoring Health and Safety reports, liasing with contractors and supporting with day to day health and safety matters. 
  • Adminstering medication and first aid to pupils and acting as the First Aid at work representative.

The hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:30pm, term time only (190 days). You may also be required to work some adhoc days, such as INSET days and/or days within the school holidays should the need arise. 

The full time equivalent pay (£24,040) is based on Kent Range 5, this equates to £19, 057 per annum (this is the pro rata amount).

Woodchurch Church of England Primary School has 165 children on roll and is situated in the heart of the Kent countryside in the village of Woodchurch, 6 miles from Ashford and 4 miles from Tenterden. We are a school at the heart of the community, that puts children at the heart of everything we do. Our site consists of a mixture of Victorian and modern buildings.
