Hours: 31 hours per week term time only + 5 inset days

Due to the expansion of our successful team Rivermead School are seeking to recruit a dedicated Sports Teaching Assistant (TA) to work as part of our team supporting learners aged 11 to 19 with a range of complex needs including Autism. We are looking for a talented person who is enthusiastic and can work on their own initiative. All candidates must have Level 2 qualifications (i.e. GCSE grade C and above or equivalent) in English and Maths. Additional relevant qualifications in Physical education would be desirable.

The successful candidate will support the physical education program by assisting in the planning, delivery, and assessment of sports activities tailored for students with special educational needs (SEN). The Sports TA will work closely with the PE teacher and other staff members to create an inclusive and engaging environment that promotes physical health, teamwork, and personal growth.
