We have a rare opportunity for a passionate and forward thinking KS1 teacher to cover a maternity leave from September 2024. This position could be full time or part time for the right candidate. This posiiton would suit an ECT who has specialised in KS1/EYFS or a MPS teacher with KS1 expereince. This is an exciting opportunity as we are developing our KS1 provision in line with the EYFS to include purposeful continuous provision and child initiated experiences.  

Do you have:

  • A clear understanding of how children learn and develop, including early reading and early maths
  • A commitment to the development of enabling environments inside and outside
  • The ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team
  • A good understanding of adaptive teaching and good practice for PPI and SEN learners in KS1.

Information about the school

We are very proud of our wonderful school which was judged as good with outstanding features. Our most recent Ofsted inspection was in October 2022.

We have 16 classes including our maintained Nursery. A set of Core Values underpin all that we do which ensure high expectations of both learning and behaviour. They are ' Equality, Responsibility, Respect, Resilience and Challenge.' Our inclusive school is based on a large, well resourced site just outside Maidstone town centre. Our excellent facilities include a library, extensive outdoor learning areas and an ASD Satellite.

Our school has a happy and caring ethos and is is full of well motivated children, supported by a hardworking and fully committed team of staff and governors.
