Five Acre Wood School is seeking to appoint a Clerk to the Governors working 5 hours per week, term time only. The post holder will provide advice and guidance on governance, constitutional and procedural matters, and ensure that the work of the Governing Body conforms to the responsibilities assigned by the School. Duties of the role include draft agendas, take notes and produce minutes of meetings to maintain information on membership and advise the Governing Body on procedural and legislative matters.

There are approximately 6 Governing Body meetings across the academic year.  The majority are held at the end of the school day, with a small number of the governing body meetings taken place during the school day.  The schedule for meetings is agreed for the start of each academic year providing plenty of notice for the Clerk and Governors.

This role is working 5 hours per week, term time only (currently 39 weeks), actual salary for this role is £2,973 per annum.
