We are looking to appoint an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil who will be in Year 5 in September primarily with cognition and learning needs. The role is to support the pupil with accessing the curriculum within the classroom this includes use of iPad to record writing and some scribing.

The successful applicant will be employed on a permanent contact linked to the pupil (i.e. the contract remains whilst the pupil is at our school or retains high needs funding), for 29 hours per week over the five school days.  This is 8:25 – 15:10 with 10 minutes for break, 50 minute lunch break) term time only; the additional 15 minutes is attached to Fridays as preparation for following week. It is paid on Kent Range 3 pro rata. Appointment will be from September 2024.

Experience of working with children 4 -11 in a school setting is essential.

With easy access from the M20, and being situated less than 3 miles from Maidstone centre, the school is easily accessible by road.
