You could be the person we are looking for to become our new School Business Manager. We are an OFSTED rated Good school that truly believes that not only does every child matter but so does every member of staff! 

Our small, friendly and supportive school are looking for a School Business Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the school's finances, administration, facilities, and human resources. As a key member of staff, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the school's non-teaching functions.

The candidate we are looking for must have experience working within a finance and HR environment. You must be a fast learner, with strong computing and interpersonal skills. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role but training will be provided for a suitable candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:

Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation in alignment with school objectives. Monitor income and expenditure, providing strategic financial advice to the Head Teacher and Governing Body.

  • Administration and Compliance:

Manage administrative processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and school policies. Coordinate efficient administrative systems to support the school's operational needs.

  • Facilities and Resources:

Maintain a safe, welcoming, and functional school environment. Oversee facilities management procurement, and the efficient use of resources. Lead on HR functions, administration including recruitment, and HR policies and procedures.

Kent Range 8 £28,995 (pro rata £22,520) 32 hours per week 40 weeks per year

Mereworth Community Primary School is a popular village school situated between Maidstone and Tonbridge. We are a vibrant, single form entry school situated in wonderful grounds which are used extensively to enhance the delivery of the curriculum. The school building is a mixture of Victorian, 1960’s and modern rooms. We have indoor learning zones which includes a library, a music room, computer room and a Design & Technology room. We have extremely supportive parents and governors and wonderfully caring, polite and well behaved children.
