We are looking for a Teaching Assistant for our large 4 form entry junior school in Gravesend.

The role is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2025, for 31.25 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only.

The salary is £22,071 FTE based within the Kent range. The actual pro-rata salary is £15,762.20 based on 31.25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

Previous experience of working in a school is required and a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferable.

A good standard of English and Maths is essential.

This post requires someone with a calm, patient disposition and an ability to work as part of a team.

Information about the school

Riverview Junior School is a very popular four form entry Key Stage 2 school on a large site we share with the Infant School.

Our extensive site offers lots of opportunities for outdoor learning, including an outdoor library, two football pitches, MUGA, outdoor intervention area, animal farm and forest school, and we offer large well-resourced classrooms.

We are delighted to announce that our recent Ofsted inspection, carried out in February 2022, graded the school’s overall effectiveness as ‘Good’ with ‘Behaviour Attitudes’, ‘Personal Development and Leadership Management’ all being graded as Outstanding;.
