The Position

We are seeking to appoint an excellent and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, supportive and dynamic, small school. The successful candidate will be required, under the direction of the class teacher, to support the wellbeing and learning of our wonderfully diverse children. 

Applicants should hold at least a relevant NVQ2/OCR or equivalent. Previous Teaching Assistant experience would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.  A first aid certificate would be an advantage along with experience of delivering a synthetic phonics programme.

The weekly hours, for this position are 8.30am - 3.20pm Monday – Friday, term time only. This is a temporary contract in the first instance, but may become permanent.

Wickhambreaux CEP School is a small rural, village school south of Canterbury. We currently have 115 children on roll divided into 5 classes.
