 We are looking to appoint a professional and highly motivated individual for a term time HLTA role, especially for English in the curriculum. Our ideal candidate will be talented, empathic and enthusiastic with the best interests of our pupils at the centre of all they do. They will support the policies and aims of the school and ensure the good social, emotional and physical development of every child alongside a love of learning in all its forms. The post would be for September 2024.

Key Purpose of the Job  

  • Be part of the whole school team working to promote the best possible outcomes for pupils in terms of their wellbeing, academic and personal development.
  • Support pupils with additional educational needs and special educational needs in KS3 and KS4 with their academic development, learning behaviours and wellbeing.
  • Modify and adapt the delivery of learning activities under the guidance of specialist staff.
  • Provide 1:1 support for identified pupils within the classroom and the wider school to assist with their academic development, learning behaviours and wellbeing.
  • Any other additional duties as assigned by the Headmaster.

 As a small school with a strong Pastoral focus the key asset of our staff is a full understanding of every individual pupil's educational need and empowering them towards a life long love of learning.

Beechwood School is a forward thinking, inclusive and caring co-educational, independent, day, weekly and boarding school with over 370 pupils on roll (between 3 years and 18 years).
