Teacher of Spanish (part-time, in the region of 0.6 FTE) 

Fixed term for 1 year, starting September 2024 

Salary: MPS - UPS depending on experience  

We are looking for an inspiring and creative individual to support the delivery and enjoyment of languages at Tonbridge Grammar School.   

You will be:  

  • able to teach Spanish to Sixth Form level   
  • a good Honours graduate with a passion for learning and teaching 

Languages hold a central position within our internationally focused curriculum.   All students study French and Spanish in Years 7 – 9 alongside Latin. This foundation continues into GCSE and the IB Diploma in Sixth Form, where our commitment to internationalism is further emphasized. Our students consistently achieve outstanding results in both GCSE and the IB Diploma programme, often pursuing further language studies at university and beyond.  

Our language department thrives as a vibrant hub of the school community. We offer an extensive range of co-curricular activities, ensuring that opportunities for enrichment are as exciting as possible. These include language trips to Seville and Rouen in October, as well as weekly enrichment programs such as the United Kingdom Linguistics Olympiad, International Film, Japanese, Mandarin, Current Affairs, Home Languages, and Podcast clubs.
