Job role:    Trust Finance Assistant

Salary:       FMAT Band C Point 4 £25,225.00 p.a. FTE

(Pro-rata £17,599.33 p.a.)

Hours:         27.5 hours per week – Term Time plus 4 Weeks (20 days – 10 days of which must be worked in August due to financial year end)

Contract Status: Permanent

Contract Start Date: ASAP

The Trust is looking to recruit a suitably qualified Finance Assistant to take responsibility for the robust management of the Trust’s finances, ensuring that resources are deployed effectively and efficiently to support the Trust’s aims and the long-term sustainability of the budget and to deliver a professional, efficient and effective finance service to the schools within the Trust.

Applicants should have experience in a Finance role and will have a working knowledge of finance and budgetary management.

The post holder will provide support to the Trust Finance Manager in all aspects of financial management.

What we are looking for:

  • A good understanding and practical experience of financial management.
  • Previous experience of working in an educational setting is desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience of PSF software would be advantageous.

Our Trust Business Team supports all schools in the Trust in the areas of finance, payroll, Human Resources, and Facilities. This role will have day to day responsibility for the Trust finances, reporting into the Trust Finance Manager.
