An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and caring Year 6 teacher, with the opportunity for middle leadership responsibilities, to join our wonderful primary school in the heart of Cheriton. 

The position would be suitable for an experienced upper KS2 teacher, with a proven track record of excellent pupil progress and attainment, with a passion for ensuring that every child succeeds. 

There may be opportunities for the right candidate to work towards a senior leadership role, as part of our comprehensive CPD and training packages on offer to all of our staff as part of our Turner Schools Trust.

In return, we offer an inclusive and vibrant working environment, with our outside learning environments, Forest School, Art room, Music rooms and skateboarding lessons amongst many exciting additions to our creative curriculum, complementing our strong core curriculum offer. We are also passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of all of our children and staff, and so a knowledge of trauma or nurture informed practice is welcome, but not compulsory. This is a full-time, permanent position.

  • Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school and the personal development of our children
  • Have the drive to make a real difference to the lives of pupils and families in our community
  • Show optimism, positivity and ambition for the school, its pupils and the Trust
