KR4 (£23,338 - £23,921) pro rata to £17,788 - £18,233 for 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm with 30 minutes break. Term time plus INSET days (39 weeks)

We are recruiting 2 Teaching Assistants to work with named children. The special people we seek will be driven by a genuine desire to break down barriers for children who have Special Educational Needs and to ensure that they are not educationally disadvantaged or socially isolated as a result of their SEND needs. You will need to be caring, hardworking, willing to undergo training and most of all, enjoy working with children.

The candidates we seek are/have:  

  • Experienced in supporting the inclusion, learning and development of children with Complex Special Educational Needs - experience of working with children for whom sustained focus may be a challenge would be a particular advantage.
  • Determined to provide the very best outcomes for the children they work with.
  • Able to maintain positive behaviour and strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • Has effective communication skills.
  • Knows how to support children's Reading, Writing and Maths knowledge and skills effectively.
  • Able to work closely with class teachers to promote learning and achievement.
  • Able to work closely with the SENDCo to coordinate suitable, personalised provision.
  • Supervise children at more unstructured times of the school day, engaging them in games and social skills activities.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to take on board advice in order to develop further.
