Are you passionate about nurturing creativity and empowering young minds through art education? Ripplevale School and College in Rochester is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Art Teacher to join our team and inspire our students on their artistic journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and creative art lessons to students across various age groups and abilities, including those studying for Arts Award and GCSE qualifications.

Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that cater to individual learning styles and support students in achieving their full potential.

Facilitate practical art projects, workshops, and activities that inspire creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression.

Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them progress academically and artistically.

Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across the curriculum and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

Specialism in art education with a strong understanding of the Arts Award and GCSE curriculum.

Hold the qualification of Arts Award Gold Assessor.

Experience working with students with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is desirable but not essential.

Passion for art and creativity, with the ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Ripplevale Rochester is an independent specialist provision for students aged 6 to 25 who have been diagnosed with various needs, which may include ASD, dyslexia, speech, language and communication difficulties, DCD, sensory, social, emotional and other learning difficulties along with high levels of anxiety. The school is set in an historic Medway town and enjoys the outstanding community facilities and links that the towns of Chatham and Rochester have to offer.
