Brook Community Primary School - A Small School on a Big Adventure - is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful, dedicated team. 

We are looking for a One to One Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil with complex Special Educational Needs.

This is a full-time position of 30 hours a week, term-time only, pro-rata. The hours are 8.45am until 3.15pm. This post is temporary as it is dependent upon funding. The contract will be reviewed at the end of each term.

The ideal applicant will be passionate about providing inclusive, nurturing support so our pupils flourish, both academically and personally. They should have a good understanding of child development and of how children learn, and be able to enthuse, engage and challenge children in their learning journey. 

We are looking for a TA who understands the many benefits of working in a small, rural school, for example, our family ethos, but also has a good understanding of the challenges, such as mixed-age classes. 

You must be prepared to work both indoors and outdoors in order to support learners in a range of environments as we make use of our beautiful surroundings.

Brook Community Primary School is a mainstream, small village school set in idyllic surroundings. Established in 1876, we have a current roll of 75, and are situated in an elevated position on the edge of the picturesque village overlooking the Wye Downs and just 4 miles from Ashford. We are very proud of our school and aim to provide a happy, safe and stimulating learning environment where each child is valued and encouraged to develop their skills and abilities to the full.
