We currently have vacancies for teaching assistants to come and be a valued member of our dedicated school team.

We are seeking to appoint effective, caring and enthusiastic people to join our growing school in our Key Stage 1 team. This role will involve working mainly 1:1 with a child, or in small groups with children alongside other adults.

1 position is for approximately 3.25 hours per day, starting at 8.45am and ending at 12pm.

The other position is full time, starting at 8.45am and ending at 3.15pm, with a half hour lunch break.

At present, these are temporary contracts due to end on 31st August 2024, although there may well be an opportunity for this to be extended.

 Desirable skills:

  • show positive skills in supporting children's learning - experience and confidence of working with speech and language and communication needs would be beneficial.
  • be able to engage with young children and develop positive relationships quickly.
  • be able to positively reframe challenging behaviour when necessary.
  • Be energetic and creative, and be able to think on your feet.
  • be reliable, patient and understanding while also knowing how to have fun!
  • have high expectations for children’s behaviour.
  • be used to working closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO and external professionals.
  • have an understanding of school safeguarding.
  • be adaptable, cheerful and willing to work as part of a team.
  • be willing to undertake additional training if needed.
