  • Demonstrate initiative and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience in teaching the EYFS and Primary Curriculum.
  • Knowledge of SEND, particularly in areas such as PMLD, SLD, or ASD is advantageous.
  • A willingness to embrace further learning about SEND and associated therapies.

What We Offer:

  • A fulfilling, rewarding, and caring environment with strong leadership support.
  • Access to Kent Rewards and KCC Employee Benefit Scheme.
  • Enrolment in the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
  • Focus on Mental Health and Wellbeing, including access to key services such as a free counselling support line.
  • Comprehensive Induction and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme in line with school plan priorities and pupil centred needs.
  • Support from in-house therapy teams including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and the Special Schools’ Nursing Service.
  • Collaborative planning, preparation and assessment (PPA) time with colleagues.
  • Phased mentor support dependent on experience.

We welcome applications from teachers currently working in both Special Schools and mainstream schools and settings. So, if you are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people with SEND, join us in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every individual can thrive.
