We are looking to appoint a motivated Breakfast Club Assistant to join our nurturing and supportive Breakfast Club team. The school's Breakfast Club provision caters for a small percentage of the school population (about 40 children). Due to the demand, we are looking to recruit further assistants to grow our capacity.

Previous experience of working with children is desirable however, this would also be a great role for someone who is looking to gain experience working with children. The hours would work well for parents or even grandparents who have some interest or experience in working with children. It would also be good for students looking to pursue a career in nursery schools or for prospective teachers looking to add experience to their university applications. Equally you may have experience in food preparation (and qualifications) that would suit this role.

The role is 3.75 hours per week and the successful candidate will be required to work from 8:00am-8.45am, Monday to Friday, term time only.

The salary is based on Kent Range 3, £19,293 full-time equivalent, the actual pro rata salary will be £1645.98 based on 3.75 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

We are looking for the right person who will:

  • Work in partnership with our Breakfast Club team
  • Deliver quality activities and support to engage pupils
  • Be organised, flexible and patient in order to meet children’s needs
  • Have a positive outlook, with a good sense of humour and high expectations of our children.

We can offer you:

  • support from our friendly, experienced Breakfast Club supervisor and team
  • welcoming children
  • opportunities for professional development
