Salary for TA: NJC Grade D2 Points 04 – 11

£15,671.48 - £17,613.98 Per Annum

Salary for PPW: NJC Grade E2 £1,263.69 Per Annum

Hours: 30 Hours Per Week, Term Time Only (Teaching Assistant)

Hours: 2.5 Hours Per week, Term Time Only (Positive Play Worker)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our established and expanding team, providing support to pupils, including those with special needs. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about education and has a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. The successful applicant will follow a programme of support clearly defined by the SENCo, and work alongside teaching and other appropriate staff dependent on the nature of the particular needs of the pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

 Supporting teachers in delivering high-quality lessons to students

  • Working with small groups of students, providing additional support and guidance where necessary

    P     Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment

 Helping to maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour

Requirements:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient and compassionate approach to supporting students with a range of needs and abilities
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and use initiative when required
