Throughout the apprenticeship, a wide-range of experiences and knowledge will be obtained in assisting with a variety of administrative tasks, including (but not limited to):

  • Providing a friendly, welcoming, first point of contact for parents/carers, visitors and staff.
  • Dealing with all manner of enquiries in person, via telephone or email
  • Data entry and filing
  • Collecting, distributing and sending post
  • Photocopying and shredding
  • Data entry in the Academy’s SIMS database, as well as other IT systems used within the Academy.
  • Dealing with deliveries

The apprenticeship training period will be for 18 months, where a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration will be achieved.  Please note that we are unable to guarantee a permanent position within the Academy after this 18-month period, this will be entirely dependent on a vacancy being available at that time.

This position is 37 working hours per week, 8:00am-4:00pm, which includes x1 day a week release to attend offsite training or college.  This is a term-time only position (39 working weeks per year - including x5 staff INSET training days per year).

We are an expanding SEMH provision which will be moving to a brand new, purpose-built academy in September 2025.  This new school will increase our capacity even further, leading to potential career progression opportunities for the right candidate.  If you are looking for a new challenge and would like to be part of a great team, then we would be delighted to hear from you and look forward to receiving an application.  Visits to the Academy are also welcomed and encouraged.

Information about the school

Information about the Academy:

Inspire Academy is an SEMH Special School for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, and forms part of The Parallel Learning Multi-Academy Trust.

All the students at Inspire Academy have an EHCP (Education Health and Care Plan), with a primary need of SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). Some exhibit very challenging behaviour and Mainstream schooling is not always the most appropriate setting for them. Sometimes their first encounter of school has been chaotic and certainly challenging, many have had a fragmented education and have fallen behind their peers academically. This often results in self-esteem issues and anti-social behaviour.

With small classes and amazing staff that truly understand SEMH we feel that once a student starts at Inspire they have every opportunity to turn their lives around. Every child has the right to achieve and we believe that every parent and carer has the right to expect that Inspire Academy will do its very best for their child. With this in mind we work closely with parents and carers and other agencies to help each student make positive choices and changes which will serve them better in their future.

A key feature that we try to adopt is teaching the students to take responsibility for their behaviour and consequences. We teach them to try and put things right when they go wrong, together with learning the values of tolerance and respect for themselves and others.

Information about the Trust:

Parallel Learning Trust is a Special and Alternative Provision Multi- Academy Trust.

The Trust is committed to transforming lives for all pupils. Currently, we have seven academies that offer alternative or special provision for those children with social, emotional or mental health needs, with clear plans for sustainable growth over the next 3 years.

The Parallel Learning Trust was founded in 2014 to support the conversion of Park Campus and Kennington Park.

The Members and Directors of the Trust have a wealth of experience, brought together by a passion for giving children the best start in life.
