Offham is a friendly and ambitious one form entry school nestled in the picturesque village of Offham in Kent. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Deputy Headteacher from September 2024. The role is to cover the maternity leave of our substantive Deputy Head. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Leader looking for their next step. Key responsibilities will include Assessment and SEND acting as the school’s SENCO.

The right candidate for this role will:

  • Be an experienced senior leader looking for a challenge in their next role
  • Keen to develop their leadership skills as a Deputy Headteacher
  • Have a strong understanding of high quality teaching, learning and assessment including evidence based strategies
  • Be an excellent practitioner who is passionate about developing others and able to lead by example
  • Have a strong knowledge of SEND provision and how to effectively plan, implement and monitor the provision of pupils with SEND alongside staff, parents and external agencies
  • Be willing to commence the new SENCO NPQ (or have an existing SEND qualification)
  • Have a robust knowledge of safeguarding with the ability to take on the role of Lead DSL

Offham Primary is a rural school with 7 classes and is located approximately 3 miles from the town of West Malling. The school serves a supportive community of children and parents, who are enthusiastic about learning and leading their school.
