We are looking for Teaching Assistants  

At Greenfields School we pride ourselves on making a significant difference to the lives and future outcomes for every child and young person in our care. With high pupil contact time 1:1, small class sizes of up to four students and the reward of working with complex relationships – the impact YOU will have will be phenomenal!

We are a therapeutic education setting that focus on therapeutic teaching to meet the needs of every individual child and young person. We are looking for passionate and resilient Teaching Assistants who have experience in teaching in mainstream or, SEN specialist schools with SEMH needs.  The most important thing is that you have a passion to support and nurture children and young people in a therapeutic classroom where our teachers deliver a bespoke curriculum to meet the needs of each of our students. 

We would like to hear from you if: -

  • you are a passionate teaching assistant who understands how rewarding and impactful it is to work with traumatised children and young people. You will help to significantly change the lives of our students through our iST Therapeutic Education model.
  • you are interested in a new career or have a wealth of experience behind you.
  • you are keen to embrace an innovative, creative curriculum model, child-centred systems and hold high expectations and aspirations for all learners.
  • your personal qualities include good humour, empathy, creativity and a passion to help others succeed.

Childhood First is a leading charity in the provision of care, education and psychotherapeutic treatment for children suffering the consequences of early life trauma, deprivation and abuse.

Greenfields Therapeutic Community comprises of Greenfields House, Gables House, Oakwood House and Greenfields School and is for a small group of young people with complex emotional needs aged 5-16yrs. Greenfields School provision comprises of an Upper and Lower School across separate sites within the community.
