Advert

Full or part-time (minimum 0.8FTE) Teacher of Physical Education to start 1st September 2024

We are pleased to welcome applications from professional, talented and passionate individuals to join our highly motivated and very successful PE department within our wonderful school.

This role would suit either an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or somebody already teaching but ambitious to develop their career further.

The successful candidate will be required to teach a full girls’ PE curriculum, ideally with specialisms in football and cricket, with a passion to continue the already strong development of these two sports at our school. Experience of coaching girls' sports would be preferable but is not essential. They must be able to deliver high quality and engaging theory and practical lessons for students from KS3 through to GCSE and A Level. PE and sport are extremely popular subjects at our school, with a large uptake at KS4 and KS5.

This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the continued success of our PE department. We have a strong, long established, reputation for the quality of our competitive teams across all sports, something we are looking to maintain and build upon moving forwards. This appointment is central to this vision. We excel at district, county and national levels, as well as supporting many individual students competing nationally and internationally across various disciplines.

We run an extensive super-curricular programme offering opportunities for all our students and a commitment to this is an essential requirement. Whilst we are ideally looking for someone who has expertise in football and cricket, we are very happy to consider applications from individuals who have a passion for other disciplines and a track record of excellence.

We are also passionate about the wellbeing of our staff, and in addition to a generous allocation for PPA, we have pledged our commitment to the DfE Wellbeing Charter, declaring our commitment to protect, promote and enhance the wellbeing and mental health of all our employees.

If you have a passion for sports that you want to share with motivated and committed students, we welcme your application.

If you require further information please e-mail Mrs Elaine Wall, H.R. Manager ewall@langton.kent.sch.uk

We reserve the right to appoint and interview suitable candidates before the published closing date.

Closing Date: Monday 8th April 2024, noon

Interview: Monday 22nd April 2024
