Shears Green Junior School is seeking an exceptional and dynamic School Business Manager to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who possesses a strong passion for education and the drive to make a positive impact in the lives of our students.

Role: As the School Business Manager, you will play a key role in the strategic development and operational management of our school. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective running of the school's business functions, including finance, HR, and resource management.

Responsibilities:

  • Delegating tasks and responsibilities to the appropriate staff members, ensuring efficient teamwork and productivity.
  • Demonstrating excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
  • Managing the school's finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and monitoring expenditure.
  • Overseeing HR processes, including recruitment, contracts, and staff development.
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of the school's vision and strategic plan.
  • Implementing strategies to maximise resources and achieve operational goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong financial management skills, with the ability to effectively manage budgets and resources.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate others.
  • A strategic mindset, capable of developing and delivering on the vision for the school.
  • A comprehensive understanding of HR processes and procedures.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
