Deputy Headteacher Vacancy

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a pracising Catholic to join our supportive, hardworking and committed staff at St. William of Perth.  St. William of Perth are looking to appoint an ambitious and dynamic Deputy Headteacher to join our school family.  Our school community is renowned for its warm and welcoming ethos as well as high expectations and academic achievement - "Exceptional relationships within the school exemplify the Gospel values and staff are role models for the pupils.   Pastoral support is exceptional and ensures that pupils with additional needs reach thier full potential. - Section 48 RE inspection February 2023"

This is an exciting new chapter in the school's development as we look to build on our recent Outstanding Denominational  Inspection report (February 2023) and our Good OFSTED (October 2023).  The post will have responisibility for teaching a class year group (3 1/2 days a week) with release time (1 1/2 days) for supporting teaching and leasdership across the school wherever our leadership need dictates.  In return, we offer opportunites to grow and develop as a leader, supported by an experienced Headteacher and the wider leadership team.

Information about the school

St. William of Perth Catholic Primary School is situated approximately one mile south of the City of Rochester, Rochester Castle and Cathedral and is in the Parish of St. John Fisher. As a church school, we place a strong emphasis on creating an ethos based on the gospel values, whilst still maintaining recognition of the need to reflect the variety of religious traditions and diversity of our society. Developing positive spiritual and moral values underpins our pastoral day-to-day work. One of our greatest assets is the caring, family atmosphere, which we create through knowing each child individually and being aware of their different needs.

Within the school mission statement it says that the aims of the school are “to nourish the growth of all its members as persons illuminated by the light of Christ”.
