Teacher of PE – Required for September 2024

 

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of PE from September 2024. The PE department’s vision is to provide all learners with a broad and balanced curriculum, which will encourage ‘lifelong participation’ in physical activity. We are looking for a passionate and high-quality teacher who is committed to helping achieve excellent and consistent outcomes. They will deliver quality first teaching and support the effective delivery of extracurricular provision for all year groups. Physical Education is a very popular subject within the school, within our PE curriculum we offer a range of traditional and non-traditional activities including Kinball, OAA, Softball and more.

 

The successful candidate will be required to teach KS3 and KS4. Additionally, an interest in/experience of teaching KS5 would be advantageous, as would the ability to teach additional subjects such as IT or Mathematics. The position is open to ECTs as well as more experienced colleagues. As a flexible employer we welcome applications from those seeking both full time and part time employment.

The PE department is high performing with a strong team. There are currently six full-time teachers and one part-time teacher within the PE department.

 

For KS4 students study AQA at GCSE or OCR Level 2 Cambridge Nationals. For KS5 students’ study A’ Level PE (AQA) or Edexcel BTEC Level 3.

Alongside a salary of between £31,737 - £46,525 pa (for full time employment), the school will contribute 28.68% (from April 2024) (the equivalent of between £9,102 and £13,343 pa) towards you being a member of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
