Nore Academy is located within Halfway Houses on the Isle of Sheppey in a brand new, eco-friendly modular building which has been designed to meet the needs of SEMH pupils through discreet zones and well equipped key stage classroom areas. The school site is extensive with superb ground, two multi use games areas and forest school.

We are seeking to recruit a Receptionist to start 03/06/24, an exciting opportunity to join the pre-opening phase and be involved in the setup of a brand new school. You must be enthusiastic, efficient, flexible, friendly and a reliable person to manage the smooth running of the Reception area.

The role

The successful candidate will need to have a good telephone manner and be able to deal sensitively with a range of children, parents and outside agencies. They will also need excellent IT and interpersonal skills. Previous school office experience using SIMS.net would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Other necessary qualities include confidentiality, efficiency and being able to work on your own initiative and under pressure, and a willingness to contribute to the continued improvement of the school.

The post is for 37 hours per week (Term Time Only). Hours of work will be 8:15am – 4:15pm, Monday to Thursday and 8:15am - 3:30pm, Friday.
