We are seeking to a Maintenance Site Lead, to start 03/06/24, to be a part of the pre-opening phase prior to the opening in September 2024. As maintenance site lead you will provide a responsive caretaking and maintenance service, to supervise cleaning staff and minibus drivers: to ensure high standards of caretaking/cleaning throughout the school site; to provide a clean and safe environment for users of the school buildings, fleet and grounds; and to supervise contractors and ensure compliance through regular maintenance, servicing and inspection.

The successful candidate will be a well organised individual with experience of maintenance and/or site management either in Education or Industry. You will have knowledge of a breadth of mechanical and electronic systems such as heating, alarms and power and can demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks and to work on your own initiative. You will be well organised and adept in using a breadth of ICT to maintain clear records of work and management of contracts. You will line manage a small team and will have high aspirations for maintaining a high quality, clean and presentable site. You will show a commitment to safe working practices and a knowledge of Health and Safety.

Background to Alternative Learning Trust - Kent & Medway Hub

Alternative Learning Trust (ALT) is a multi-academy trust (MAT) for Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), Alternative Provisions (APs), and Specialist Settings. We are a collaborative trust and believe the most sustainable developments and improvements come from working together. The Alternative Learning Trust became a multi-academy trust (MAT company number 11788031) in June 2019.
