This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced candidate to make a real difference to pupils and their learning outcomes. At Leeds and Broomfield we are looking to employ a part time teaching assistant  - for three days a week. (We are looking for either Mon / Tues / Wed  or Wed / Thurs / Fri).

This job is a temporary position for term 5 and term 6 ONLY and is attached to higher needs funding which is additional funding for pupils due to complex needs. Therefore if a pupil leaves or the funding changes or is taken away the position will no longer be needed.

Our support team work flexibly across the whole school to meet the pupils' needs and therefore the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate that they can assist in promoting the learning and personal development of all pupils, including but not exclusively, those with special educational needs. As well as working alongside the class teacher and groups of pupils, the successful candidate may also be required to support pupils on a 1:1 basis and deliver intervention programmes to support small groups of children to raise standards.

The role requires good organisational, personal and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of children.

We require a good standard of general education and GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above.
