Teacher of History working across Walderslade Girls’ & Greenacre Academy

Salary: MPS/UPS

Required: April 2024 / September 2024

Hours: Full time, Permanent 

Location: Greenacre Academy / Walderslade Girls’ School

Plus a one off joining bonus of £2,000, paid in twelve monthly instalments*

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher to join our team as a History Teacher to help drive excellence in teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher, able to build and develop a creative approach within the school whilst using your expertise to help our students understand, grow and develop their own IT and business skills. You should be suitably qualified and have strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject. In return you will become part of a successful and experienced department who work collaboratively and share ideas. If you are passionate about helping young people and are excited about the opportunity to join our school then please apply!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support student learning
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents/carers
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the IT and Business curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified teacher status or equivalent
  • A degree in History or a related subject
  • Experience teaching History at secondary level
  • The ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
