We are looking for a cleaner to join our team working 12.5 hours a week.  The hours are 3.15pm-5.45pm, 5 days a week (term time only).  We pride ourselves in the learning enviroment we provide our children and the role of a successul cleaner is key to this.  

Purpose of the Job:

To undertake cleaning duties to maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the school, as directed.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  1. Undertake cleaning of allocated areas in line with specified standards and as directed.
  2. Store allocated equipment and materials safely and securely.
  3. Perform duties in line with health and safety regulations (COSHH) and take action where hazards are identified, report serious hazards to line manager immediately.
  4. Collect and dispose of waste.
  5. Refill and replace soap, towels and other materials.
  6. Notify the Line Manager or other senior member of staff, of any damage to buildings and equipment or anything  that may be dangerous to pupils and/or adults.

Information about the school

Greenfields is an oversubscribed one and a half form entry Community Primary School with 3 nursery classes. The school is situated in South Maidstone on a large site with amazing facilities.

We have designed our own curriculum to meet the needs of our children. This includes dedicated enrichment funding and use of the school’s minibuses to bring our curriculum to life e.g. regular trips to London, Harry Potter Studios, chances to explore all areas of Kent and much more!

We have become well known for our dedication to PE and school sport and are proud to have set up sporting opportunities for children across Maidstone. This has been recognised by us receiving the Platinum Sports Award.
