Five Acre Wood is a successful, outward looking and expanding District Special School based over 4 sites in and around Maidstone, Kent. We currently have over 850 pupils on roll aged 2-19 years with profound, severe and complex needs.

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic, hard-working Pupil Placement Assistant to assist with providing support to ensure that an efficient and sensitive service is provided to Five Acre Wood pupils, their parents and other relevant parties involved in their care and education. 

Principal Accountabilities:

• Ensure that all responses to formal consultation approaches in respect of possible admissions are sent within the expected 15 day timescale, under the direction of the Pupil Placement Strategic Manager and that all email communications are recorded and are stored for access in the future as necessary.
• Collect and collate information for SEND Tribunal appeals, as required under the direction of the Pupil Placement Strategic Manager liaising with the senior leadership team, HR and the therapy team as appropriate to ensure that evidence responses are sent within stated timescales wherever possible.
• Assist the Pupil Placement Strategic Manager with gathering information and investigating when complaints are received and assist with the writing of the report following investigation as required.
• Collate information and liaise as required to ensure that all information gathered for Freedom of Information Requests (FOIR) and Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) is made available as requested to comply with expected timescales.
• Ensure accurate records, spreadsheets and information is held to assist with report writing and so that there is a clear overview at all times of the key aspects of the role:  Admissions, Tribunals, Complaints and requests for information.

The role is term time only, working 37 hours per week, the hours will be 8am – 4pm, finishing at 3.30pm one day per week. 

The salary for the post is £23,444.64 including FAW Allowance.
