We are seeking to appoint an excellent and extremely motivated Key Stage 1 Class teacher to join our talented and friendly school team.  The position is a full time temporary maternity cover, from April until December 2024 

We are looking for a teacher who is:

  • Totally child-centred, and who can plan exciting and challenging learning experiences, well matched to the needs of individual children
  • Highly reflective, keen to share their own strengths and take on new ideas from others
  • Positive with a real ‘can-do’ attitude, willing to work hard with others in a friendly and close team
  • Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Infant curriculum and able to maintain subject leadership across the whole school and nursery
  • Extremely reliable and able to communicate with others across the school community in a caring way
  • Willing to work well within our rich and creative curriculum.
  • This post is unsuitable for an NQT.

St Alphege CE Infant School and Sunbeams Nursery is a happy school within a vibrant Whitstable community with strong links to our sister school Herne CE Infant School.
