Salary: NJC Grade D2 Point 4 – 11 £23,114 - £25,979 FTE (Actual £16,977 - £19,081) 

Hours: 32.5 hours, 38 Weeks - Term Time only – Fixed Term for One Year

Location: Twydall Primary School

Required: ASAP 

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with a pupil at Twydall Primary School.  This will involve supporting the pupil’s learning in class alongside the teacher, and also working closely with the pupil who has complex medical needs. The funding for this role is linked to the pupil and is currently for one year.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide 1-1 educational support
  • Assist the implementation of individual programmes help monitor their progress
  • Undertake specific duties with the child who has complex medical needs, including personal care
  • Maintain a positive, supportive attitude within a team

Requirements: 

  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)
  • Experience of working with children with SEN including physical difficulties would be advantageous
  • Understanding of children with different behavioural needs
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Possess a desire to help all children achieve their best
  • Have a caring nature and a deep regard for children
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and adaptable
  • Excellent communication skills
