Kitchen Assistant

13.5 hours a week, term-time only + 1 week deep clean

Shift patterns: Mon/Tues/Thu - 11:45 to 2:15, Weds/Fri - 11:15 to 2:15
Salary: TDET Support Scale 3 (£11.04 per hour)

Summary of Role:

Reporting to the Head Cook in assisting with all day to day kitchen duties ensuring compliance with relevant Health & Safety and Food Hygiene requirements.  This is is a high-paced environment, serving 400 high-quality meals per day to our children necessitating person efficiency and teamwork.

Applicants will be expected to undertake a paid trial day as part of the application process.

Main Purpose (Refer to the attached Job Description for full details):

  • Assist with preparing meals;
  • Undertake cleaning of the kitchen, surrounding areas and equipment to ensure the kitchen cleanliness is maintained at a high level;
  • Attend training courses as required;
  • Comply with Health & Safety, Fire Regulations and other relevant School and Trust policies;
