Teacher of English at Greenacre Academy

Salary: MPS/UPS

Hours: Full time, Permanent

Plus a one off joining bonus of £2,000, paid in twelve monthly instalments*

Are you a dedicated Teacher of English who is looking for a meaningful opportunity to impact the lives of students?  We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Teacher to join our team.  You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students and help them develop strong language skills, critical thinking abilities and an appreciation for literature.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Access and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Encourage critical thinking, creativity and effective communication.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.

 Requirements:

• Qualified teacher status or equivalent.
• A degree in English or a related field.
• Previous experience of teaching English at secondary level is preferred.
• The ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
