Maypole Primary School wishes to appoint a highly motivated, nurturing Learning Support Assistant to join our school.
 
Desirable qualifications, experience and qualities required by the successful applicant:
  • Learning Support Assistant Level 3 qualification or higher education qualifications
  • Good Literacy and Numeracy skills (qualifications in Mathematics and English, grade C or above or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of The National Curriculum and/or experience of working with children
  • Ability to work successfully with pupils with a range of needs
  • Adaptable and confident to support pupils individually or in small groups
  • Capable and confident in delivering school interventions
  • Enjoys working with children and is able to establish excellent relationships
  • Excellent team member
  • Hardworking and is able to work on their own initiative
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidential
  • Committed to the school, has positive views and is willing to contribute to school events.
 
The post is for up to 32.5 hours per week - term time only - working across the week Mondays to Fridays.
