We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team in our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP), with a designation for supporting pupils with Autism.

St Nicholas CE Primary Academy is part of the Aquila Multi Academy Trust and as such the pay scales are above the Kent Scheme pay scales, with the Trust being a Living Wage Employer with the salary for the post set at Aquila Pay Level ‘B’ £21,296 to Level ‘D’ £22,731 FTE – depending upon skills and experience. (The candidate will need to be clear about these in their application.)

The ideal candidate will be hard-working, flexible and adaptable, have experience of working within a primary school or nursery setting and demonstrate a calm and positive approach to working with children. You will be required to work 30 hours per week for 38 weeks per year.

The role will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to and respected.

The successful candidate will be expected to work with individual and small groups of pupils, preparing classrooms and materials, and building positive relationships with pupils to promote interaction and learning.

Whilst previous experience of working in a SEND/ASD environment would be desirable, excellent support skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.

If you would like to know more about the school or the SRP where you will be supporting children we strongly reccomend that you come and visit the school. We look forward to hearing from you!
