We are seeking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic and skilled administrator to join our outstanding organisation from March 2024 , to fulfil the role of HR Administrative Assistant. This post is for 37 hrs per week, KR5 (£22,595 to £23,693) pro-rata, depending on experience. 42 weeks per year (term time, plus 3 weeks (to be agreed). Working days will be Monday to Thursday 8am – 4pm and Friday 8am – 3.30pm.

The post holder will be supporting the HR Lead and will be responsible for a variety of HR administrative tasks and some financial tasks.

The successful candidate should possess GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent), Grade C or above. They must be flexible in their approach to work, self-motivated and be able to prioritise their work effectively in order to meet deadlines. They will also need to possess good interpersonal qualities, strong communication skills and be computer literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong excel skills. Knowledge of SIMS.net and previous experience of working in a school environment would be advantageous, although not essential as training will be provided. HR experience is essential and a flexible nature, attention to detail, along with a professional attitude are paramount.

The successful applicant will provide support in a variety of tasks across the HR and Finance functions within the school. These may include supporting with processing timesheets, maintaining personnel records on SIMS, monitoring and recording staff absences and supporting with staff recruitment. They may also provide support to the wider administrative team and leadership team as the need arises. This will also include covering reception. The specific role may vary depending on skills and experience. A formal job description will be agreed prior to appointment.
