We are offering an opportunity to work with our Early year groups within Folkestone Primary, and contribute to our aim of providing an outstanding education for every child. This could be the ideal role for you if you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of children through supporting them to achieve, both academically and personally.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are:

  • committed team players with energy and drive
  • able to deliver support, both in lesson and small groups in reading, writing and mathematics;
  • able to support children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities
  • dedicated, enthusiastic, patient and caring

We welcome applications either from excellent Teaching Assistants who have experience in supporting children with a range of learning needs, or from graduates, who are looking to gain in-school experience before Teacher Training.

We are committed to our staff’s continuous professional development in all areas, and will ensure that you receive high quality and effective training in order to support you in your role. 

The successful candidate will be expected to engage with lunchtime activities and supervision so an ability to play, have fun and actively supervise is essential.  In addition to this, all employees are expected to contribute to the wider life of the school community and candidates should be mindful of this when applying for the position.

38 weeks (term time) + INSET DAYS

18.75 hours a week
