Teaching Assistant at Chantry Community Academy

Salary: Kent Range 3 - £9,488 Per Annum

Hours: 19.5 hours per week (Mon- Wed), term time only

Are you a caring and dedicated individual with a passion for helping children learn and grow?  If so we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team as a Teaching Assistant at Chantry Community Academy.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the classroom teacher in creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment for our young learners.

Responsiblities:

  •  Experience of working with children with SEN and/or SEMH would be preferable.
  • Highly motivated and committed to providing inclusive learning opportunities.
  • Supporting the teacher in delivering lessons and activities that cater to the diverse needs of the students.
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and organising educational resources.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who may require additional attention.
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes teamwork and respect among students.
  • Encouraging students’ social and emotional development, helping them to build self-confidence and resilience.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with children effectively.
  • Patience and understanding to cater to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers and staff effectively.
