We are looking to appoint a part time Early Years Teaching Assistant to work in our Little Hedgehogs Pre-School who is ideally qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or is willing to undertake training.

 This is a permanent position starting in February 2024 or earlier if possible for 25hours per week.  We are open in term time only and the days and hours are as follows:

 

Monday             11.45pm to 4.45pm

Wednesday        8.30am to 4.45pm

Thursday           8.00am to 12.30pm

Friday               8.30am to 4.45pm

You will play an instrumental and proactive role working alongside the established friendly team. A passion for the outdoors would be desirable as we have excellent facilities in the school grounds and surrounding area and we are a Forest School.  You should have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in order to provide quality feedback for our parents and carers on a daily basis.

The main responsibility will be to provide a high quality of education and learning and ensuring that the children are receiving appropriate stimulation and support. Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times
  • Record keeping and being a Key Worker
  • Forming and promoting positive, caring and trusting relationships with the children and their families
  • To ensure professionalism and confidentiality at all times
