We are seeking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic, and skilled Administrative and Finance officer to join our outstanding school from January 2024, and to be seconded to our specialist Post-19 institution, LINK19. This post is for 30 hours per week. Monday- Friday 9am – 3pm. Term Time plus 10 days and occasional additional hours for Director meetings. Kent Range 5 (£22,595 to £23,693) pro-rata, depending on experience.

The post holder will provide effective administrative and financial service to support and enhance the running of the LINK19 College. 

The successful candidate should possess GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent), Grade C or above. They must be flexible in their approach to work, self-motivated and be able to prioritise their work effectively. They will also need to possess excellent interpersonal qualities, strong communication skills and be computer literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong excel skills. Knowledge of management information systems and previous experience of working in a school environment would be advantageous, although not essential.

The successful candidate will provide support in administrative and financial tasks within the College. These will include maintaining the college accounting systems, processing orders and approving payments ensuring correct financial control is applied, raising invoices and managing all cash income. They will process time sheets, mileage and expenses claims for staff and, in conjunction with the College Lead, be responsible for preparation of the annual budget monthly monitoring, interpreting and profiling information to ensure adequate provision is made to cover increasing costs.

The candidate will also coordinate EHCP annual review schedules and ensure timely submission of all paperwork to meet requirements of the local authority, carry out the administration of Health Care Plans and general office duties and administrative support to LINK19 Leadership team, LINK19 Administrative Lead and teaching staff.
