Job Title: Receptionist/Admin Assistant

Location Orchards Academy               

Salary/ salary range: Kent Range 5 £22,595 – £23,693 (FTE) Pro rata salary for Term Time only approx. £19,607pa

Closing Date: Friday 12th January 2024 we reserve the right to close the vacancy early should we receive a significant number of applications.

37 hours per week (39 weeks per year - Term Time plus one week of inset days)               

Hours: 8.00am to 4.00pm Mon- Thurs, 8.00am - 3.30pm Fridays

Following the recent news that Orchards Academy has been awarded a new build by the Government we are very excited to be recruiting for a Receptionist/Admin Assistant. We are looking for a highly passionate, enthusiastic and committed individual who shares our belief in providing these highest levels of education for all students.

This role will involve working both on the Reception desk and in the Admin Office as required.

Amongst other things this ideal candidate should demonstrate;

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage challenging issues with staff, parents and students

- Excellent planning and organisational skills to include time management

- Able to work as part of a team but also confident in working individually without close supervision demonstrating initiative and proactivity

- Ensuring confidentiality and discretion in all communication with the school community and other stakeholders

- Experience in using or managing SIMS, or a similar database would be advantageous
